All lessons are to be prepaid, one month at a time on the last lesson of the previous month. (For instance, all November lessons must be paid for on your last lesson of October.) In order for a lesson to be excused and there not be charged for it, you must let us know that you will be missing an upcoming lesson at the time of prepayment. All other missed lessons will be considered unexcused and no credit for the missed lesson will be given towards future lessons. Due to an extremely full schedule, make-up lessons are not normally possible.
Practice:
Consisent, focused pracice is the hallmark of a successful musician. In order to ensure studens retain knowledge and improve skills, there must be a committment to practice each night, at least five nights a week.
Each week, students (and parents, if the student is a child or teen) will be given feedback as to their progress. It is strongly recommended that students, who cannot commit to regular practice time each week, take time off from lessons and re-evaluate their ability to take on the study of music.
It’s understood that students have homework and other commitments. It is equally important, however, to devote time to practice. It is the only way a student will learn how to become proficient in their instrument.
Practice time will be monitored on a weekly basis.
